GREAT RUNNING EVERYONE...
UPDATE Wednesday 12 noon race day: The weather looks great but we do need to start prompt. We have double the number of runners this year so please get there in plenty of time to collect your number. If entering on the day again leave a bit of time. The course is generally in good condition apart from, as ever, a real cross country quagmire up through the 'Butts', but mostly its fast trail running.....although it has taken a bit of a soaking in the last couple of days so expect some puddles and slippery patches.
Be aware its warmer than it has been recently so be well hydrated beofre the start, as it's only 5 miles there are no water stops on course.
Good Run Guide brings you a Wednesday evening trail race series similar to last years race but each a little bit different. The races are 5, 5 and 7 miles long each loosely based on one of our recommended running routes through scenic and sometimes challenging parts of Wimbledon Common. They start at the iconic windmill and offer a mixture of adventure, fun and challenge all set within an area of calm and tranquility that feels miles away from the urban sprawls of South West London. Large free car park at the start.
Each finisher receives a mug, chocolate bar and fruit. There are series and individual medals/prizes. Enter 2 of the three and get the 3rd absolutely free.
Race 2 is on Wednesday Evening 11th June 7pm: 5miles.

About The Course
Click the "Route Map" button below to see a map of the course.
The first race of the series is 5 miles long, this race follows an exciting and challenging course. Features include tackling the boggy Rifle Butts, running alongside bubbling Beverly Brook, and climbing the tricky 'Toast Rack'. The run is designed so that it will be much tougher than your average 5K but at the same time accessible to runners of all standards. If you thought Wimbledon Common was boring, prepare to be surprised.
