OVERVIEW If you want to circle the whole of Richmond Park then the easiest path to follow is the well-surfaced cycle track. However, there are many paths that are nearby to the track and follow a similar route, so using these whenever possible will avoid the cyclists and allow a change of running surface. Richmond Park is the largest open space in London with nearly 1000 hectares open to the public. It has been designated a site of Special Scientific Interest and is a National Nature Reserve. There is plenty of wildlife in the park including the red and fallow deers that are allowed to roam freely. We recommend you take the time to visit King Henry's Mount (within Pembroke Lodge grounds) where there is a view of St. Paul's Cathedral which is protected by statute. |
