Virginia Water Lake - 4.13 miles

A slightly undulating scenic run around Virginia Water lake which is located in Windsor Great Park. The lake was dammed and flooded in 1753 and was the largest man-made lake in the British Isles until the creation of the reservoirs.

Chorlton Water and The Mersey - 5.20 miles

An easy running route from Chorlton Water Park to Sale Water Park and back connected by the River Mersey. This is a popular area and you are likely to see many other runners, cyclists and walkers enjoying the relative peace and quiet.

Elvaston Park and River - 5.82 miles

A route from Elvaston Country Park which takes you out via a quiet country lane to the picturesque Derwent Valley Heritage Way, which runs alongside the River Derwent. A pretty, peaceful and flat route with generally good surfaces.

Marston Country Park - 4.12 miles

This run follows a well-sufaced cycle track around the newly created conservation area of Marston Country Park. Very easy to follow and flat, this is a nice easy route for a bit of speedwork or just to jog around and appreciate Stewartby Lake and the surrounding area.

Avenham Park - 2.03 miles

A short but nice route around Preston's pretty Aveham Park, taking in traffic free bridges over and footpaths alongside the Ribble River. For a longer run simply go around twice or venture off down the river.

Clumber Park Lake Loop - 3.67 miles

A shortish but very picturesque lap of Clumber Park Lake. The run is mostly on good gravel trail paths with a short section of tarmac. The park is very popular and can get crowded with all manner of folk walking, cycling and enjoying the facilities, especially on weekends and holidays.

Hidden ways of Richmond Park - 5.00 miles

This run explores much of glorious Richmond Park and uses some little known footpaths and trails. You will run over paths up to The White Lodge, through a hidden managed plantation, through Isabella Plantation, between Pen Ponds and finally through Sidmouth wood.

Petworth Park Trails - 4.27 miles

A lovely scenic run around beautiful Petworth Park. There are numerous good trails all around the park so this is just a suggestion - which takes in all the major features including Petworth House itself as well as the Upper and Lower Ponds.

Queen Elizabeth Country Park - 5.12 miles

This is an easy to follow, hilly trail run through the woodland of the Queen Elizabeth Country Park, near Petersfield. There is a lot of climbing, some of it steep, but if you have the legs the last 1.5 miles are a fast rush downhill!
