Length 13.10 miles (21.1 km)
Description

The Birmingham and Black Country Half Marathon is a half marathon with a bit of a difference. It is a point to point race along canal tow-paths starting in Wolverhampton and finishing in Birmingham City Centre. The race takes a time trial format with runners starting in waves from 9am-12pm based on their predicted finish time. The route is largely flat with the only inclines being from locks and bridges, the route includes the famouse 'Coseley Tunnel' a 360 tunnel which is a memorable feature of the course. Floating drink station (canal barges) are positioned at miles 3,6,9 and 12. The finish is at Brindley Place in the centre of Birmingham just a stones throw away from the Bullring, Sea Life Centre and plenty of pubs and bars, competitors will have the option to shower at the NIA and kit bags will be transported from the start so that you can enjoy the sights and sounds of Birmingham.
