Race Guide
National Forest 10K & Fun Run

Date / Time
Sunday, October 5, 2014 at 10:15 a.m.
Length 6.21 miles (10.0 km)
Description

Now in it's fifth year, the National Forest 10K offers a scenic off-road route that takes runners along the former railway, the Ashby Woulds Heritage Trail, to the young woodland of Donisthorpe Woodland Park. It follows part of the Ashby Canal, passing Moira Furnace to join the Conkers Circuit. Cutting through mature and young woodland planted as part of The National Forest, and skirting around Albert Village Lake, the climax is the fast downhill finish to Conkers Discovery Centre.

The 1-mile Fun Run uses trails within Conker's Discovery Centre and is open to children (and animal mascots) aged from 4 to 14 years old.
