Description
The John Fraser 10 is recognised as the premier 10 mile in Leicestershire and Rutland. In 2012 the men's race winner was Barrow's Stuart Spencer, who claimed victory in 53.43 from Charnwood's Mark Couldwell in 55.34 with Hermitage Harrier Matt Adcock finishing third in 55.57. Liz Cocks of Birstall produced an excellent performance to be first woman home with a winning time of 59.59, with only Gemma Steel and Tara Krzywicki having run quicker, and was 12th in the overall race. The course starts and finishes in Countesthorpe going out via Willoughby Waterleys and Peatling Magna on quiet undulating country roads. The race is run under an ARC permit and rules. There will be car parking, toilets, shower & changing facilities and refreshments available at the college
