The 6th Trail
Date / Time
Length
3.73 miles (6.0 km)
Description
The 6th trail —take no prisoners (6ed Ilwybr) takes place on 12th April 2014. It will have a 6km race route in the secretive, designated Conservation area, mythical trails, and tracks of the “Gwyllt” woods within the iconic, unique village of Portmeirion in the Snowdonia National Park.
Portmeirion is a popular tourist village in Gwynedd, North Wales. It was designed and built by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis between 1925 and 1975 in the style of an Italian village and is now owned by a charitable trust. Portmeirion has served as the location for numerous films and television shows, most famously serving as The Village in the 1960s television show The Prisoner.
Being on a Saturday, we also hope that many runners and families will stay on for the weekend with one of the accommodation providers in the area or why not treat yourself with a Stay in Portmeirion itself. Offers and discounts are available.
