Description

This is a run that makes the most of the fabulous views and pleasant scenery on offer in this part of the world. Starting from the winery in Denbies Vineyard, the route climbs steeply on the old coach road that makes up part of the North Downs Way, with great views over Dorking and the Weald. Proceeding past the prominent church of St Barnabas in Ranmoor, you cross a road and emerge onto Steer's Field (no cows!), with splendid views towards Westcott and Leith Hill. Running along the edge of the North Downs Escarpment, you have more pleasant views until you reach the half way point at Pickets Hole. Proceed back along the same route, 'enjoying' the final 1.5km downhill scamper to the vineyard.
