2011 marks the 13th running of this challenging cross country race just 3 miles south of Tunbridge Wells. We are delighted that the event was voted 'No.1 Race in the UK' in 2009 in Runner's World, and also came away from the 2010 Runner's World Personal Best Awards with the 'Most Improved Event' trophy. The route as always is completely traffic free, through an historic Deer Park and Ancient Woodland. A privileged and unique chance to run over private land. With stunning views your run will take in a beautiful Lake, Victorian Follies, a Saxon Fort, a Chalybeate Spring and Mysterious Sand Caves. The hilly 10 mile (approx!) one-lap course is on tracks, grass and woodland trails – it will, we hope, be delightfully muddy in places and some sections are steep, rutted and narrow. Appropriate footwear, ie trail shoes or ‘knobblies’ is highly recommended. Off-road parking. Beer tent. Refreshments. Toilets. Regret no showers and definitely NO DOGS. Entry is open to individuals (17 or over) and teams of three. There are awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female finishers, as well as for veterans' categories and the first teams (male and female). Enter (the fee includes a free event t-shirt) online at no extra cost over postal entries via www.twharriers.org.uk, or print off the 2011 Eridge Park 10 entry form from www.twharriers.org.uk, fill it in and return it with your payment to: EP10 Entries, 2 Coniston Avenue, Tunbridge Wells, TN4 9SP. Don't forget to include a 6"x9" SAE for your map and instructions if entering by post. Numbers for all entrants are to be collected on the day from Race HQ.
