OVERVIEW Richmond Park is the largest open space in London with nearly 1000 hectares open to the public. It has been designated a site of Special Scientific Interest and is a National Nature Reserve. There is plenty of wildlife in the park including the red and fallow deers that are allowed to roam freely. The cycle park that follows near to the perimeter of the park is 7.3 miles long, and is popular with runners. However, there are a multitude of other paths that criss-cross through this extensive park. There are 6 car parks within the park. The gates open to vehicles are Sheen Gate, Richmond Gate, Ham Gate, Kingston Gate, and Roehampton Gate
