NO FIT FILES ON YOUR DEVICE?

This tool is for use with Garmin devices using the FIT file format. Please use our main Garmin Device Uploader to upload data from devices that use the TCX data format such as the Forerunner 205/305/405/310xt.

Upload from a Garmin GPS (FIT Device)

This tool enables you to upload routes and exercise data from Garmin GPS devices that use the FIT data format such as the Garmin Forerunner 110. To upload your data, connect the GPS to your computer and click Browse to select the FIT file that is named with the date and time of the recording you want to upload (e.g. "2010-11-01-10-40-10.fit" for a recording made on 01/11/10 at 10:40 a.m..)

There was a message saying No Route Data Found This can sometimes happen if there was a delay in converting the file - try to refresh the page.

The file was read but the route is not shown on the map Please try uploading the file again. If this doesn't resolve the issue, try logging off and logging back in again.

 

Other error messages Please contact us for further help if you keep getting other error messages.
HOW TO USE THE GARMIN GPS UPLOADER
Compatible File Types The Garmin FIT File Uploader accepts GPS files in the Garmin FIT format only, as used by the Garmin Forerunner 110 and other similar models.
Finding the FIT File on your GPS device To begin, connect your GPS device to your computer and click Browse (or transfer the data wirelessly to your computer if using an ANT stick). Then locate the FIT files as follows:

USB CONNECTION : Your device shoulkd be shown as an external drive on your computer. Browse the files on your device and locate the correct one. FIT files are located under the Garmin/Activities folder on your device

ANT STICK: FIT files are located in the following folders:

PC - C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\Devices\[your deviceID]\Activities

Mac - /Users/[your_username]/Library/Application Support/Garmin/Devices/[your_deviceID]/Activities

Select the correct file (files are named using the date and time of the recording) and then click the Read File button to load the file for further processing.
Choose the Laps/Splits to Upload If your FIT File contains recorded activity data such as laps/splits, any laps/splits recorded for each session will be shown in the right-hand panel. If no laps/splits are available or you don't want to use the ones from your GPS device, you can use the Auto-Generate feature to automatically generate laps/splits at specified intervals.

NOTE: This feature uses the Elapsed Time of each point from the start so if you stopped recording at any time during your exercise session, you can use the Exclude Stops feature to ignore any stops when calculating your Lap/Split times.

Confirm your Selection Click the Upload to Good Run Guide button to confirm the exercise session you want to upload, including your choice of Laps/Splits.
Choose to upload Route, Activity or both You can choose to upload just the route (to My Routes), just the activity (to your Log Book) or both - tick the relevant boxes. If you have previously uploaded the route and simply want to log another activity for the same route, there is no need to upload the route again - you can select it when logging the activity.
Record any additional information Record any additional information, including a name for the route if you are uploading it.
Save Click the Save button to upload everything to your Good Run Guide Training Log.
Save the Route to My Routes?
 
NOTE: There is no need to do this if you have previously saved this route to your My Routes page.

A NOTE ABOUT GPS ACCURACY

Age-Graded %GPS devices are not infallible and can be subject to signal loss and other signal errors. We recommend that you check that your route has been accurately recorded by reviewing it on a Satellite Photo Map (select View from your My Routes page).

You don't need to be logged in to preview data from a GPS File but please login first if you want to save the data to your Training Log or to preview files larger than 2MB.
