Flippin' eck Helen was the cup one of those limited edition white one's or the bog standard transparent type, and also what about all of the others that finished behind you? Could have been a riot on their hands;-) |

Hi Helen, It's really 'horses for courses', out of the 12 races I have ran this year I think there was only 2 or 3 which there was a decent group to pace with, especially at the end when I want a bit of a sprint to the finish. Most of the time once the race has settled down I am solo running trying to catch the next person up. I find the well attended events are the major sponsored ones with the bulging goody bags and the obligitary 'keep fit' instructors warming you up before the big race. The less attended seem to be the league runs mainly with club runners where the end prize is not so great..... in fact the worst prize to date for finishing this year was a beefburger at a 10k event. |
