Morning all.

Went for a run in the fog this morning- it was very dark, and I couldn't see more than 10 metres.

Really spooky, especially with the river birds making lots of weird noises as well!

What a good way to get your heart rate up!

We'll have to get you some bells for your birthday then (and not the whisky!)

I was going to ask if you are mad, but then I saw your other post about music and dance moves... I think 'bonkers' just about captures it!

In fact you may have acquired a nickname there, Bonkers Bolton :o)

[Put's hand up] I'm usually tucking into my post run breakfast at 06:00, usually out the door between 04:00 -04:30, but probably not much this week as I have a dicky back.

Not much wildlife at the moment for some reason just the odd cat, must know I'm coming in my lycra shorts and flourescent vest with Wham's greatest hits blaring out of my headphones.

6 am, 3 times a week, so not too early! I just find it easier and quieter to do my run before work- obviously that might have to change as it gets darker in the mornings! This morning was the first time the sun wasn't quite up when I started out.

There's folks on here who get up at silly o'clock and have probably finished their run before I'm awake :o)

It's not all rain and flies though - I had a 'disney' moment as I started my run this morning...

Literally as the sun broke over the horizon, a heron swooped across the river to my left and on my right I was briefly joined in my run by two muntjac deer! I was half expecting a few bluebirds and chipmunks to be flitting around, and an orchestra hiding in the bushes playing Greig's Morning' :o)

I couldn't have asked for a better start to my day!

Any extra protein intake on a run is a bonus, at least you didn't have to pick to reminants of cow pats/rabbit droppings out of your trainers which I had to do on my last cross country run.
