Aspire are very pleased to announce the second outing for 2016 at Avon Valley Railway (Bitton Station) There will be a 10k and an all ages and abilities 4k on the morning of Saturday 8th October. The 10k will start at 9:00am (all runners) The 4k will start at 9:15am.

This event is canicross friendly.

A stunning multi terrain course that will be held on a traffic free Railway Path and fields (No spikes for this one) The course is undulating but not hilly and will be suitable for all standards of runner.

The 10k is a single loop race. The first 2k will be on the Bristol to Bath Railway Path before branching off for 6k of pure off road running taking in wooded trails and the open countryside. All this whilst taking in the beautiful surroundings of the Avon Valley, with amazing views of the Bath Skyline. The return 2k to the finish line will find you back on the Bristol to Bath Railway Path.

4k – £6 All ages and abilities (Parents are welcome to walk/run with their child/children free of charge)

The event will start from Avon Valley Railways Bitton Station. Postcode: BS30 6HD

Registration will open for entrants to collect their race numbers at 8am. This will be held under a marquee on the green grass adjacent to the main railway building. Marshalls and signage will guide you to the Collection Point.

There is limited free car parking for about 50 cars, so where possible please consider car sharing please. *Note* There will be NO on street car parking allowed directly outside the Railway Station approach road on the day. Alternatively there will be on street parking available in the surrounding area. Please allow adequate time to park and register for the event.

All participants will receive a medal for finishing.

There will be 10k prizes for the following categories:

Overall male 1st, 2nd and 3rd
Overall female 1st, 2nd and 3rd
1st Senior male and female
1st male and female V40
1st male and female V50
1st male and female V60+
1st male and female U20

There will also be male and female 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall prizes for the 4k race

The event will be timed.

There will be trophies/prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female overall winners and trophies for the winner of each male and female age category.

This event will be fully marshalled and First Aid will be on stand by through out the event.
