Now in it's fourth year, the River Thames Half Marathon takes place over a flat, fast, scenic and largely traffic free course along roads and towpath in Surrey. It is a perfect preparation event if you are running a marathon in November such as Florence or you want the challenge of running a half marathon. Over 1700 finishers in 2016!
The start and finish is in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey KT12 1BT. The 13.1 mile route goes along the roads and towpath of Surrey. Along the route there are water stations, mile markers and plenty of friendly marshals. Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female, F35, F45, F55, M40, M50, M60. Plus prizes for the first local runners. There is also a prize for male and female teams, based on cumulative time. You can only win one individual prize.
There is ample car parking close to the start, toilets and baggage facilities. All finishers will receive a bespoke medal and goody bag.
Feedback from October 2016: "I wanted to congratulate you on another great event. This has obviously become very successful as the number of runners has increased, and despite this the organisation and logistics were even better than before. The enthusiastic and friendly marshals make a huge difference and this is certainly on my calendar as one of my favourite events."
Due to road safety, we have a cut off of 2 HOURS and 45 MINUTES.
