Description
The Greater Manchester Marathon on Sunday 6th April 2014 is a flat, fast and friendly race not be missed.
A total of 10,000 places are available for 2014 with the start, finish and race village at Manchester United Football Club in Old Trafford.
The route, which takes in the Trafford Quays area, Sale, Brooklands, Timperley, Altrincham and Urmston, is perfect for beginners as well as seasoned runners who want to achieve a new PB. With only 54 m elevation gain the Greater Manchester Marathon can boast the flattest, fastest marathon route in the UK.
A new addition to the 2014 race is the ‘Half/Half’ Relay whilst the ‘Four Leg’ Relay takes place again too, attracting corporate teams or friends who want to experience the race atmosphere without running the full marathon distance.
All finishers receive a medal, a t-shirt and a goody bag.
