Join us on 11th September for a celebration of award-winning English wine and running at the legendary Bacchus Half Marathon and 10K.

Set within the stunning grounds of Denbies Vineyard near Dorking, this is definitely a race for wine drinkers with a running problem. This wine-lovers party is held throughout the route with bands and live entertainment to help keep your spirits up, but the party doesn't stop there! Swap your running shoes for your dancing ones, at our post-race hog roast, where you will receive complimentary food and drink to fuel up before dancing with our DJ into the afternoon.

As the main event, half-marathon runners will experience a full selection of the Denbies wine range with six award-winning English wines to try along the course at five different drinks stations (you'll visit one station going out and coming back to trial two different wines). All the wines will be accompanied by a selection of food snacks arranged to enhance the wines and your enjoyment of the event. Since this is still a running event, and a half marathon up and over the North Downs is no easy matter, we've also added a HighFive energy station to keep you fuelled up between the wine stops. Entry to the half marathon includes six food and wine stops, the event T-shirt, a superb commemorative medal, free race photos and a ticket to the post-race hog roast, which includes food and another glass of wine or a beer (The half marathon is open to runners over 18 only).

The Bacchus Wine 10K leaves from the same start, runs up through the vineyard and visits two of the wine/food stations on the half marathon course and the HighFive Energy stop, before returning to the finish. Entry to the 10K includes two wine/food stops, a superb commemorative medal, free race photographs and a ticket to the post-race hog-roast but does not include the event T-shirt, which can be purchased for £10 in advance or £15 on the day. The 10K is aimed primarily at adults but anyone under the age of 18 can take part. (Those under 18 will receive a specially marked number and will be served soft drinks at the aid stations and at the finish).

The final event of Bacchus is a 2K fun run aimed at children. It is untimed, free to enter and all entrants will receive a medal at the finish. Anyone wishing to take part must still register in advance. It starts immediately after the second wave of 10K runners.

There is something for everyone at Bacchus whether you take on the Half Marathon, 10K or even our Kids Fun Run! All participants receive a fantastic medal, wine and accompaniments at our aid stations, musical entertainment and a ticket to our fabulous post-race hog roast party.
