Race Guide
RNIB Marathon Mates

Date / Time
Saturday, May 1, 2021
Length 26.20 miles (42.2 km)
Description

Pair up with a buddy and split the distance your way with RNIB's virtual marathon.

Whether you’re miles apart or side-by-side, make your pair and run, walk, jog or skip 26.2 miles between you during the month of May.

Inspired by the way many people with sight loss run with a guide runner, Marathon Mates is all about running together.

Take part with a partner, housemate or family member, or virtually pair up with a colleague or mate who’s on the other side of the country. It’s a great challenge to get fit and connect with someone in your life.

Perfect for any fitness level – you can run, walk, jog or skip and split the marathon distance however you want. Go halves at 13.1 miles each or find a middle ground that suits you both.

Registration is free and each pair sets their own fundraising target. We suggest a target of £150 between you (just £75 each), which is the same amount it costs to provide life-changing support to three people via RNIB's Sight Loss Advice Service. This service has been a lifeline to many during the current crisis, and really does change lives.
