The course will follow the North Downs Way trail on an out / back route all the way to the Boxhill lookout point, the course will be one out and back lap for the half marathon and two out and back laps for the marathon.The trail is undulating and varied throughout with some lovely scenery along the way too. Course conditions and the weather at this time of the year can be warm so this will be a challenging trail run, with a unique horse brass medal to reward all finishers.

Venue Information:

This challenging half marathon / marathon route will start near the Reigate Hill Car Park (Surrey) in a small field adjacent to the North Downs Way trail.Both courses entail running on lovely forested undulating trails all along the North Downs Way out towards the Betchworth Lime Quarry then onwards to the Boxhill lookout where the half marathon and marathon turnaround points will both be. The half marathon will comprise of one lap of this out and back course and the marathon route will be two laps. The terrain is comprised of a mixture of challenging uphill assents or descents on these sandy and rutted trails offering the runner spectacular views throughout.

Course Marking / Signage:

Both routes will be very well marked throughout with Hermes Running pink / black chevron fixed directional signage all along the run routes. The courses will be also be well marshalled at the respective check points located at Pebblesdown Road and the Boxhill lookout which is also the turnaround point for the half and full marathon, these two checkpoints will be very well stocked.

There are two variations to the course, the half and the marathon: The Half Marathon is 13.1 miles The Marathon is 26.2 miles
