Race Guide
Chilterns trail Marathon
Date / Time
Length
26.20 miles (42.2 km)
Description
While 2020 maybe a disheartening year for running a marathon with so many races postponed, or cancelled, don’t let the training go to waste! Give your motivation a boost and join us in March for a stunning guided trail run of around marathon distance (~26miles), through the challenging Chiltern Hills. The run starts out from the Home Office, just a 10 minute walk from Tring Station, and will incorporate parts of the Ridgeway, one of Britain's oldest routes, aswell as lesser known paths and trails.
Your local English Athletics qualified Run Leaders will offer tips on techniques, handle all aspects of navigation, as well as teach you about the local area. Hopefully we will see some of the wildlife the area is famous for. We combine both technical single track trails, along with popular local routes, taking in Nature Reserves, and passing through the infamous Wendover Woods. Along the way you will experience our famous hospitality and enjoy a well stocked refreshment point and be rewarded at the finish with a unique wooden Run the Wild finisher's medal!
