This popular early season race follows a flat and scenic route through the historic Highland capital of Inverness alongside the picturesque River Ness and taking in many of the city’s icons. A warm Highland welcome awaits all runners as they approach the finish line.

If you’re looking for a shorter distance or are new to running, the Inverness 5K could be the race for you. Whatever your running ability or experience, we guarantee you’ll cross the finish line with a smile on your face!

Many runners and spectators, choose to stay longer - a huge attraction of the Inverness Half Marathon is the area’s natural beauty and wealth of attractions. The area is steeped in history, home to castles, misty mountains and, of course, the Loch Ness Monster. Activities in the Scottish Highlands range from challenging hill walks to kayaking, dolphin spotting boat trips to distillery visits.
