Race Guide
2019 Titsey Trail 10K
Date / Time
Length
6.21 miles (10.0 km)
Description
It’s a single-lap run through the lovely woodlands of Limpsfield Common and the High Chart of Surrey and Kent. Most of the land is owned by the Titsey Estate or National Trust. The course is almost entirely off-road, along tracks, footpaths and bridleways, with a brief 200 metre stretch along a country lane. The first two kilometres are flat(ish), followed by some challenging uphill drags (thankfully through lovely autumnal woodlands!) as you climb onto the beautiful, peaceful, wooded plateau of the High Chart, but there are no steep hills. After the first water stop at about 4 kilometres, there is a short loop through the woods that brings you back to the same water stop at about 5.75 kilometres. The remaining 4 and quarter kilometres is either flat or downhill so you can enjoy a relatively fast run back, dropping down off the Chart for the run home. The finish is on the same bridleway that you ran along at the start. The majority of the run takes place over land south-east of Limpsfield and owned by the Titsey Estate, hence why our race is so named.
