Length 6.21 miles (10.0 km)
Description

Further to the inaugural Walcot Whopper 10k in March, we have decided to add a further event date in 2018, with the hope of better weather conditions this time around.

It will be held on the morning of Saturday 22nd September.

There are limited entries available, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Sadly, this event is NOT Canicross friendly.

Course description: Hilly/Undulating – 1 loop – Multi Terrain.

Course record: 44:58

This is an off road race. The distance has not been accurately measured and is approximate using GPS.

Course: You will head out of the Rugby club, joining the adjacent Lansdown playing fields before heading down a valley towards the beautiful village of Langridge and traversing its stunning Wildlife Trail. You will then climb up stony tracks and join the breath-taking Cotswold Way. From then on you will then head back to the rugby club using open countryside and farmland trails.

Location postcode: BA1 9BJ

For the duration of this event we are thrilled to have secured the facilities of the Walcot Rugby Club. Hot/cold drinks will be available to purchase pre-race for runners/spectators alike. The Rugby Club will also be open post-race for Cider and everyone’s favourite Bacon butties.

Also, being served will be the locally well-known Walcot Whopper burger, which the event has been named after! Having tried them out for ourselves now, we can safely say they are scrummy… So please do bring extra pennies on the day!
