***Due to the ever-growing popularity of the 1k and 50m races which sell out at every event, we have decided to introduce a fair rule policy.
Therefore, children can enter either the 1k or 50m dash BUT not enter both at the same event.
We wish as many little ones as possible to gain a race experience and therefore receive a medal at the end of it and we think the above is fair to all.***
Registration will open at 9:00am and will be held inside the Stothert & Pitt Rugby Club on the main Bristol to Bath A4 (near The Globe pub at Newton St Loe) which can easily be accessed by bike, car and bus.
Course:
The 7.5k is a single loop, the 15k a two loop course. It is an amazingly diverse multi terrain route which will be held on a mixture of roadside path, the trails alongside the stunning River Avon and will also transverse through a mixture of broadleaved woodland and open countryside. All this whilst taking in the beautiful surroundings of the Avon Valley.
The start and finish will be on the Rugby Club field and the course takes in a figure of 8 route. Firstly, bearing right along the River to the Boathouse Pub and then up on to the A4 footpath heading back towards to the Rugby Club. For the 2nd half you will turn right opposite the Globe roundabout following the River Avon Trail up and back to the Rugby club. The 15k runners will take on the course for a 2nd lap.
