Race The Tide 10k, Long half, long Marathon

Description

Now in its 2nd year, Race the Tide is In the glorious setting of the Flete Estate, Holbeton, Devon we are hosting 3 races that cater for runners of all distances :-

  • a predominately Woodland Trail of 8 miles on the private Flete Estate, without an estuary crossing
  • a 15 mile long half-marathon racing the tide at 6.4 miles
  • a LONG marathon of 28 miles racing the tide at 19.9 miles

The courses combine to provide a mixture of private footpaths beside the quiet estuary, bridle paths, coastal paths, quiet country fields. 

The Marathon also includes running along Bigbury beach and across the causeway to Burgh Island, made famous by Agatha Christie as she wrote two books while staying on the island. 

To Race The Tide successfully you need to run at an average of 4mph for the 15 mile race, crossing at 6.4 miles, and for the long Marathon an average of 4mph, Crossing at 19.9 Miles.

16 mile LONG Half-Marathon 12:30
8 mile Woodland Trail 12:30

All courses will be fully marked, marshalled by runners and have well stocked aid stations.

Bespoke event medal to finishers of all races 

First Aid on course and a HQ. 

Dogs are not permitted with runners during the race.
