Jingle Bell Jog and Reindeer Run

Date / Time
Sunday, December 3, 2017 at 10:30 a.m.
Length 3.11 miles (5.0 km)
Description

Rennie Grove Hospice Care’s annual festive fundraiser the Jingle Bell Jog & Reindeer Run will take place on Sunday 3 December this year, where hundreds of local residents will fill the streets of St Albans, starting at Waterend Barn dressed as Santas and reindeer.

This cracker of an event is kindly sponsored by Blanco and will raise much needed sponsorship for Rennie Grove, a charity which provides care and support to local adults and children diagnosed with cancer and other life-limiting illness and their families. Rennie Grove’s range of day services at Grove House and 24/7 responsive hospice at home service make it possible for patients to stay at home surrounded by their family and friends, which is more important than ever at Christmas time.

The fabulously fun 1.5k Reindeer Run begins at 11am and is open to all ages costing £5 for children aged 4 and under, £10 for those aged 5-16 and £16 for over 16s. The cost of entry includes antlers and a medal at the finish line.

The more challenging 5k Jingle Bell Jog starting at 11:30am, is open to over 10s and costs £10 for those aged 10-16 and £16 for over 16s. Race around St Albans town centre in a full Santa suit complete with beard, topped off with a medal at the finish line.

Enjoy the fantastic atmosphere with festive music, face painting and the chance to buy your Christmas cards, all in the knowledge that you will be helping keep local families together at Christmas.
