Description
Following the success of the first ever Carleton Sheeplechase in 2016 we are back again, bigger and better than before! Carleton Sheeplechase 2017 will take place on Sunday 16th July. Two brand new cross-country courses have been devised by the Big Bad Wolf Rob Potter - a 2.5k fun run for all the family all standards of fitness, and a 10k race that is a fusion of fell racing and obstacle course racing, that caters for everybody from serious runners to have-a-go heroes. Based in the beautiful village of Carleton-in-Craven near the popular market town of Skipton, on the southern edge of the Yorkshire Dales, the concept is a family event that everyone can achieve but will challenge the competitive if desired.
Finishers will be rewarded with a medal and a celebratory beer, courtesy of our sponsor Saltaire Brewery. There will be sweets for the lambs. Competitors are encouraged to join in the fun by dressing as sheep and lambs on the day.
Take advantage of our early-bird prices and register now. You'd be baa-my not to!!
All profits from the Carleton Sheeple Chase are going to the local school, Carleton Endowed CE (VA) Primary School. The concept was dreamed up by one of the parents and is being run with the support of the school's governing body, the PTA and Carleton Community Umbrella.
