Please note this event was formerly known as the Wellsway 6/12k. 

We are very pleased to announce our 2nd event at Wellsway, the Keynsham 6/12k plus Family Fun Runs. This will be held on the morning of Sunday 2nd July, 2017.

Races/times:

10am - 50m dash (free for 5 years and under)
10:10am -1k – (All ages and abilities, parents/guardians are welcome to run/walk with their child/children free of charge)
10:30am -2.5k – (All ages and abilities, parents/guardians are welcome to run/walk with their child/children free of charge)
11am -12k – (Aged 15 and over when accompanied by a responsible adult)
11:10am – 6k – (This has been designated a walk, run or jog race and will be open to all abilities, there is no age limit as long as children are accompanied by a responsible adult)

THIS EVENT IS CANICROSS FRIENDLY.

This is an amazingly diverse route which is an off road, multi terrain course. The 6k is a single loop, the 12k a two loop course which will incorporate public footpaths, stony tracks, muddy trails, woodland and open countryside.

The course is flat/undulating.

The start and finish will be held within the school’s sports field.

Race registration will commence at 9am for the collection of race numbers and this will be held inside the Wellsway School Sports Centre.

There will be separate male and female changing/toilet facilities available.

Parking and toilets: Limited parking will be available at the school, so please consider car sharing for this event. Otherwise please ensure you allow time to park considerately in the surrounding area.

Hot/cold beverages, bacon butties and snacks will be available to purchase from the Schools catering facilities throughout the event.

All finishers will receive a medal (Including the 50m dash).

The race will be timed.

There will be 12k prizes for the following:
Overall male 1st, 2nd and 3rd
Overall female 1st, 2nd and 3rd
1st Senior male and female
1st male and female V40
1st male and female V50 1st male and female V60+ 1st male and female U20 And overall male and female

1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes for the 6k.

The 2.5k and 1k entrants will receive a goody bag.

There will be suitably placed water stations for runners and the finishers table will be laden with its usual fruit, cake and treats.

First Aid will be in attendance and the course will be fully marshalled.
