The inaugural Round Reading Ultra Marathon (RRUM) takes place on Saturday August 5th, taking in a fabulous multi terrain course that circumnavigates the town of Reading.
You’ll have a choice of a 50km route or a 100km route. The course will include a variety of terrain, including flat river and canal towpaths, undulating woodland trails, country lanes and paths through Reading's many urban green spaces.
With feed stations approximately every 10km, you don't need to worry about re-filling water bottles, etc. We'll even take your own nutrition out to the feed stations for you, if you prefer to use your tried and tested food.
As a two-lap course, the 100km route passes through the start/finish at the 50k (halfway) point. On an ultra you can always have a bad day and if it isn't going to plan you have the option of finishing, having completed the 50k, and still receive your medal.
Why not take on the perfect intro to ultra running with the 50km, or challenge yourself for the real race of truth over the classic 100km distance.
