We are organising a full and a half marathon, starting at 9am from the British Trust for Ornithology’s property at Nuns Bridges in Thetford.  The mostly off-road route heads out to Brandon (the half marathon goes to Santon Downham), and then returns to the start/finish line at the BTO.   The event is registered with the 100 Marathon Club.

The Brandon House Hotel has kindly offered to allow us to use their grounds for our half-way checkpoint, and there will be other checkpoints along the route with refreshments, as well as radio marshals who will be in contact with first aiders. 

Everyone involved in the organisation and running of this event is a volunteer, working to raise funds for the BTO, a much-loved Breckland resource and charity whose national office is based here in Thetford.
