One start, two races and an unforgettable finish! The World Heritage Site provides the stunning backdrop to this new and exciting event that chases through the narrow cobbled streets and along the beautiful River Wear with the imposing 900 year old Cathedral always beckoning. The 5k and 10k races start simultaneously in the ancient Market square so you can choose one lap or two! Whichever you elect for, you will finish at Palace Green in between the Cathedral and the Castle, following in the footsteps of pilgrims who have climbed the hill for almost a thousand years. With a little luck you may have produced you’re own historical performance to match the surrounding splendour! All competitors have free access to the Durham City Park and Ride system so no need to worry about parking, you can run, recover and relax!
