Aspire Running Events are thrilled to announce our next Cattle Country Adventure Park 5/10k plus Family Fun Runs event and this will be held on the morning of Sunday 23th April, 2017.

Sorry this event isn’t canicross friendly.

Prices:  

10k – Affiliated £14 Unaffiliated – £16 (Aged 15 and over, when accompanied with a responsible adult)

5k – Affiliated £12 Unaffiliated – £14 (Aged 12 and over, when accompanied by a responsible adult)

2.5k - £7

1k – £6 (All ages and abilities – Parents/Carers are welcome to run with their child/children free of charge

50m – Free Under 5’s only race – Parents/carers are welcome to run with their child/children free of charge

Registration will open at 9am for competitors to collect their race numbers. This will be held in the large marquee (Signposted from the car park)

This event has something to offer everyone. The 5/10k is an exciting and exhilarating, off road multi-terrain course for the experienced or novice runner alike. Our 2.5k/1k fun runs are great fun for the whole family, this is open to all ages/abilities. We also have our usual free under 5’s 50m dash which has become so very popular, is amazing to watch and a great opportunity to cheer on the little runners of the future.

The 5k/10k (2 loop 5k) begins in the idyllic grounds of the Cattle Country Park before heading out onto the vast open space of the glorious countryside.

The 2.5k will take on part of the 5k course before turning back for the grand finish within the Country Park.

The 1k is also an off road course, again taking in the beautiful grounds of the Country Park and will be on flat terrain. This is open to anyone of any age or ability who can either run, jog or walk around the course. This will also be buggy friendly.

The under 5’s 50m will be on flat grass within the Adventure Play area of the Park.

Race times are as follows:

50m - 10:00am

1k - 10:10am

2.5k - 10:30am

5/10k - 11:00am

The route will be fully marked out with our usual run route signs, our orange marker flags plus eco – friendly temporary spray white paint arrows on the floor.

All finishers will receive a medal (including the 50m dash)

There will be 10k trophies for the following categories:

Overall male 1st, 2nd and 3rd

Overall female 1st, 2nd and 3rd

1st Senior male and female

1st male and female V40

1st male and female V50

1st male and female V60+

1st male and female under 20

There will be 5k trophies for the overall male and female 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

2.5k/1k entrants will receive a goody bag.

The 5k/10k races will be timed.

There will be a half way water/feed station for the 10k runners and the finishers table will have our usual treats, including fruit, sweets and cake!

The event will be fully marshalled and First Aid will be on standby throughout the event.

Anyone who enters this event, will have all day entry and access to Cattle Country.

We have negotiated the following £5 (half price entry) for family/spectators on event day (Under 3’s free): Anyone who wishes to have family/friends spectate... At the entrance they will be asked whether they will just be spectating the event and then leaving or whether they will be staying on to take advantage of the amazing facilities available at Cattle Country in the afternoon... If your family/friends are just spectating and then leaving after the event, they will NOT have to pay the £5 (half price entry fee) If your family/friends would like to spectate and then stay on in the afternoon to enjoy

Cattle Country's amazing attractions they WILL be charged the £5 (half price) fee (Under 3’s free)
