We are thrilled to announce the first of two dates for the Brean Down Challenge in 2017.
The first being held on the morning of Sunday 26th March.
There is the option for either a one loop 5k or 2 loop 10k.

Registration will open at 8.30am for you to collect race numbers on the day. This will be held inside the house directly opposite the National Trust café.
This multi terrain 5/10k will start from near the foot of Brean Down, ascending straight into the steep hill to the top. You will then be taken up and over the challenging undulating hills with a gradual descent to the fort which is the turnaround point. The route will then take you along the adjacent side and back down to the finish. The 10k runners will then take on this enduring route for a 2nd time. There will be a half way water/feed station just past the 5k point.
The route will again be marked out with eco – friendly white temporary spray paint arrows and orange way marker flags throughout the course, ensuring that Brean Down is preserved and not damaged in any way.
All runners will receive a medal
The event will be timed.

Male and Female 1st, 2nd and 3rd
overall Senior Male & Female
Male & Female Vet 40
Male & Female Vet 50
Male & Female Vet 60+
Male & Female Under 20
There will be 5k winner’s trophies for:
Male & Female 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall
The finishers table will be laden with our usual assortment of treats, including fruit and cake!
There will be plenty of parking available (Charges apply), toilet facilities and there will be lots of scrumptious hot food/snacks and drinks available at the National café, pre and post-race.
My Skills for Life, our preferred First Aid provider will be in attendance throughout the event and will be placed at relevant designated points.
The races will be fully marshalled. We are thrilled that the Weston Sea Cadets will again be on hand at these events to give encouragement and guidance to everyone.
