Take part in Norfolk’s favourite weekend of triathlon at the beautiful Fritton Lake Country Park.
As part of the massively popular Fritton Lake Triathlon Festival Weekend, this Olympic distance triathlon event takes in the beautiful aspects provided by Fritton Lake and the surrounding area. It includes an open water 1500m swim in the gorgeous Lake, followed by a two lap 39km cycle leg along public roads around the Somerleyton Hall Estate. Once completing the bike course, the 10km run consists of three laps along marked woodland trails around the country park area.
Each participant within the team will tackle one element of the race. Therefore you will need to find a swimmer, a cyclist and a runner capable of completing their respective elements. You’ll race alongside all the other Olympic entrants, but your team will be eligible for a different round of trophies specifically for the relay teams.
Across the June weekend there are three distances to race; Super Sprint, Sprint and Standard. You also have the option to take on the Triple Tri Challenge, completing all three triathlons or get together a group of 3 to complete the Standard as a relay team.
This spectator friendly weekend of racing is more than just triathlon. With ample accommodation onsite from camping to B&B and self catering woodland lodges it’s the perfect family day out or weekend away.
