The marshalls were great, and the route and signposting lovely. Such a shame they hacked the bottom off all the medals though.
Water stations were good (please ask volunteers to open the bottles though), volunteers and marhshalls were supportive all the way around the course. The 'nearly at the top' sign was great!
Suggested improvements:
- changing tents for men/women
- post photos by race number on Facebook
- don't ruin the medals buy cutting a chunk off
- make it clear there are a few hills on the course
- the marshalls/volunteers at the end didn't know if the snack bars had nuts in which wasn't helpful = a little more training?
- larger water bottles on the finish line would be appreciated
- the route wasn't completely traffic free as advertised = change advertising or keep traffic out
- more coffee vendors in the village area would be good
- always more porta-loos if possible, although they were very clean and always had toilet paper which is a huge plus point.
