Aspire Running Events Ltd are extremely proud to announce the second Santa Scramble at Brean Down.

This event will be held on Sunday 18th December, 2016 and will include a 5/10k race (1 loop 5k or 2 loop 10k) plus Family Fun Runs, including an all abilities 1k and our free under 5’s 50m dash.

This event is Canicross friendly.

 1k – All ages – No Santa Suit provided although festive dress encouraged

50m – Under 5’s – No Santa Suit provided although festive dress encouraged It has something to offer everyone.

An exciting and exhilarating off road, 10/5k multi-terrain course and a 1k Family Fun Run which is great fun for all the family, this will also be open to any age group and for all abilities. We will also have our usual free under 5, 50m dash which has become so very popular and is amazing to watch.

Registration will open at 9am for you to collect race numbers/Santa Suits on the day.

This will be held inside the house directly opposite the National Trust café.

This multi terrain 10/5k will start from the foot of Brean Down ascending straight into a steep hill to the top. You will then be taken up and over the challenging hills with a gradual descent to the fort where the turnaround point will take you along the adjacent side and back to the finish. The 10k runners will then take on this enduring route for a 2nd time.

The route will again be marked out with eco – friendly white temporary spray paint arrows on the floor, ensuring that Brean Down is preserved and not damaged in any way.

All finishers (including the 50m entrants) will receive a medal.

There will be 5/10k prizes for the following categories:

Male and Female 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall

This event will be race timed, fully marshalled and First aid will be in attendance throughout.

 There will be a half way water/nibble table for the 10k runners. The finishers table will be laden with our usual treats, including fruit, sweets and cakes.
