I am having a problem mapping potential routes for a run this weekend coming because the route mapping follow the road tool is not recognising a road which is clearly showing on the map and that has been there for a number of years according to a friend who lives local to it! it is the A4130 around Brightwell-cum-sotwell near didcot in Oxfordshire! and the problem seems to with the road that rins the Didcot and goes right round the outside of the village towards Wallingford! |

Hi Emma - It looks like Google has marked this road as not suitable for walking on for some reason - that's why the follow-roads feature won't take you this way. I've reported the issue to Google so will see what they say. I assume as you are trying to map a route along this road that you can run along it? In the meantime, you can get around the probem by plotting the route along this road with the follow-road feature turned off. John |

i have just got back from my weekend just off that road and i can totally agree with their recommendation that it is not a walkable road! it was scary! very narrow and lorries hurtling along it at way more than the speed limit. i refound the local parkrun instead and got myself a PB. |

Oh well, that explains it. Probably just as well they don't recommend going on foot along there then. Well done on the PB! |
