I highly recommend getting some arch supports for your everday shoes. My wife (who is not a runner) had Plantar Fascilitis for a year before I was advised by my phsio to get her some arch supports and within days it was gone!

I got this and had to refrain from running for 6 weeks, did cross training and then it was fine after that.  I did do some self massage and rolled a tennis ball under my foot, which was painful but helped, if it doesn't clear up after rest, see a physio
