Went to running shop today. Very helpful and performed gait analysis which revealed that I actually have a neutral gait with no overpronation - very interesting watching the video analysis. Tried several pairs of neutral shoes and ended up with Brooks Defyance which feel great. Already been out for a nice little run this afternoon!

does anyone know where I can buy women's La Sportiva wildcats around Inverness or online? Have tried searching online but can only find wildcat 2s.

Thanks Craig. Heading down to local running shop this week and useful to have some general advice beforehand.

I have been running for around 8 months, only low level stuff but still wearing general sport trainers - fairly new pair of cricket shoes to be precise. I am about to take the plunge to "proper" footwear after sustaining a nagging extensor tendonitis in my right foot and "gentle" encouragement from runner friends.

I appreciate that we all have different requirements but wondered if there was a general consensus as to the best shoe for mostly road running. According to the wet foot print test I seem to be a mild overpronator but will get down to my local shop for a proper gait analysis I think.

Thanks in advance for any advice you may be able to offer.

Pete
