Liking the new auto route recogniser, had went for a run last night and it picked up the right one straight away, really good feature

Thanks for all the info.  We've put in a fix, so hopefully it should all be working OK now.

I'd be inetrested in any feedback on how good the Automatic Route Recognition is at picking the correct route from the routes you've uploaded previously.  The matching rules are fairly relaxed at the moment, so we could tighten them if it is frequently matching with the wrong routes, but we don't want to tighten them too much in case it doesn't then match with the right routes, as there will always be slight differences in GPS recordings for the same route.

Yes, same problem with me. The functionality won't let you tell it you want to upload as a different route - it'll let you name it as something different but it's automatically defaulting to the existing similar route and therefore giving you an inaccurate distance. In my case it's saying 5.07 miles compared with the real 5.30 miles.

The tick box on the initial screen is a bit muddled. It says for you to tick it if you want to upload as the existing route, but then gives you the impression you're loading a different route, when in fact you're not you're just renaming the automatically recognised route!

I hope that makes sense!

Thanks for flagging this up Emma.  We'll have a look into and report back once it's sorted.

I am having a problem with the Garmin Auto route recognising tool. i have a route which is almost the same with one slight change. the original one was 4.65 miles and the new one is 4.56 but even if i tick the box to add the new version of the route it keep telling me the distance travelled is 4.65m on the left hand box in the upload screen. now i dont mind it telling me ive gone faster overall than i have but it does distort the statistics slightly! and it isnt anything to do with the flat eq distance as that is 4.67m.
