Thanks to everyone who contributed, I will look for a set with a band around the neck

I bought a very cheap small mp3 player on Ebay and the earphone seemed ok but eventualy gave up when I started running a lot with them. I went back on ebay and looked for ear phones for running. Think they cost about four pounds look like giant elastic bands but are fab. Quite long which is great isnt a problem and now im increasing my runs are perfect. Hope this helps brenda

I appreciate that everyone's ears are different, but I need some help here. I like to run to music on long training runs & after my old pair gave up the ghost, I am struggling to find a set that work properly. I have a set with hangers to go over the ear, but the hangers are pathetic & they fall off. I have tried a couple of other sets too, without luck. I am not willing to wear a hat or a sweatband to keep them in place. Neither am I willing to wear a proper set of headphones, which look stupid enough when people are walking around with them, never mind about running. Does anyone have a set which stays in their ears & produces reasonable quality sound? I am tempted to try the Sennheiser/Adidas ones at £55 which have a band which SHOULD hold them in place. Anyone use these?
