Cambridge is the best one I have done so far. Lovely and flat , the park seems to have a micro climate as it seems to miss most of the inclement weather that is swirling about. Cafe is also great! Great way to start a Saturday morning.. I honestly would not be running without parkrun. The hill at Crystal Palace was my worst experience really....i don`t appreciate hills... |

Ran the first ever Falkirk parkrun on Saturday, rather more hilly that the run along Cramond promenade at Edinburgh parkrun. So it is Edinburgh for a PB and Falkirk for a challenge. Both are a similar length of drive for me so I guess it will be week about. I highly recommend the parkruns and in Scotland we get an extra half hour in bed as they start at 9.30am :o) |

| Thanks Keith but unfortunately its not possible to download these maps direct from the parkrun site. I have been told that the GPX files of the routes are not kept centrally, but perhaps the individual parkruns organisers hold these? We would like to have more of these routes so that members can calculate their GRG age graded percentages to compare against other types of races and also to join in the leagues if they wish. I'll look into the Crystal Palace route. | |||||

Hi I ran my first park run in Huddersfield on saturday. I had never heard of it until I found this site and would recommend it to any beginner. It was a great motivator and every one was very friendly. I did better time than I ever do when I run alone. Being a new runner I was a bit worried everyone would be so much quicker than me but I found it was great for all speeds and will go again. |

Did anyone notice that FlyMo Farah ran at Bushy parkrun this week? He jogged around with his wife Tania in about 23½ mins, but 'funnel-ducked' and didn't take a time! I'm running Colwick parkrun in Nottingham this weekend - anyone else? Anyone know what the course is like? It looks flattish, but the surface is a bit varied apparently, so maybe not a PB course? |

I thought Mo looked faster on the tele, perhaps they speed the VT up and his real time is over 23 minutes for a 5k, smoke and mirrors? |

Ran Old Deer parkrun (Park parkrun?) at Richmond upon Thames yesterday, and I have to report it was a flat (only 3 metres per mile climb), 3 lap course on mown grass all the way. 5 right angle turns each laps slowed the course down a bit. Just over 30 runners turned up of all standards. Worth a go if in the area. |

Cannon Hill parkrun 1st birthday 27 August - there'll be cake! Andy - it's nice that they have an event specially for the more mature ladies. Oh, sorry - thought you said Old Dear! I wish there was a parkrun in York. Anyone fancy starting up Rowntree parkrun? Or do I have to move back and do it myself?! |
