So what do they do? They go and change the route!

I've uploded the revised course as 'Cannon Hill parkrun 08-01-11'

Hi Louise...
I've mapped a half marathon race route for the SHELL 4 VILLAGES HALF MARATHON and saved it into my folder. The route isn't so far listed as a 'race' on GRG and the event takes place on 23rd January 2011.
What do I need to do to record my finish time as a RACE after the event.
The link for the race route on the organisers website is http://www.helsbyrunningclub.org.uk/halfmarathon/halfroute.htm but the map isn't very well detailed.
Can you help ?

Thankyou
Craig

Louise,

Below you will find the link to the Park Run map for the Greenwich route.  Is this good enough for you to transfer onto GRG or do you need me to map it out on our system?

Thanks Dave and Tony - I will sort those out.

Craig - if you have already mapped out the route, then just log it as a race - it doesn't need to be in the race listings.  Then select the route from your saved routes.  You will then be able to add the time and get your age graded percentage and it will appear in the race leagues if you have opted in for this.  If you would like to share the race routes for other members to use then that would be good.  However, I will add the race to the listings later today.

Thanks, Louise

Hi Louise,

I've shared the route for the Centurion RC Grand Prix 5-miler series - It's a monthly six-race series which began 7 Nov 2010 (which I missed). Race 2 was to have been 5 December but was postponed. January's race was this morning, and the remaning races are 6 Feb, 6 Mar and 3 April, with the postponed race added back on May Day. I'll probably be running again in Feb, Mar and May.

Could you add it into the 'Regular Events' tab in the Race Diary?

Thanks once again,

Dave

Hi Dave,

Is that the series run round Chelmsley Wood/Meriden Park? I've been thinking of doing a couple of these races but the XC has got in the way.

Thanks

Derek

That's right, Derek - it's a good series, quite competitive, lots of club runners.

Due to the weather-induced postponement there's still four to go, so you can qualify for the series, if you can fit them in!

Cheers Dave, just noticed on the link you've caught me a few times on camera at the Birmingham District XC League at Leomington and Gloucester.

Nothing to do with me, mate, I wasn't at Leamington, and was too busy running at Glocester to take photos!

I'm not a Centurian, but I know a few, and am happy to plug their races. The photos were probably taken by Lou Satterthwaite.
