On a related note...

I recently switched to using auto sync rather than uploading via firefox. I was just wondering if there was a way to identify routes on activities synched from Garmin? For example on a common route that I repear regularly runs that are synched from Garmin are identified as seperate routes so its not possible to compare times, PBs, splites etc

Thanks

Hi Julie, the connection to grg is not working can you go to gamin connect, settings, account information and remove pernission for GRG and reset it up on the GRG website which only take a few moments then try another run. Thanks. Your 35 minute run on the 12th you'll have to upload manually as previously i'm afraid as although i have managed to assign it to me i can't figure out how to then pass it over to you, sorry!

Thanks for your replies Louise and John. The last t run I uploaded was on Saturday 12th December and I only have one Garmin connect account on my computer. Thanks for your help.

Hi Julie.  Unfortunately we can't find the reason for this.  Is it possible that you have 2 Garmin connect accounts on your computer and that GRG is linked to a different one to the one you are looking at?

Hi Julie - Can you let me know approxmately what time you uploaded the last run to Garmin Connect that didn't come through to GRG and I'll look for in in our logs?

I am still having problems with getting my data to transfer from Garmin Connect to GRG. I checked that I only had 1 application open as advised but took the precuation of deleting that and starting again. The last 4 runs are showing on Garmin Connect including one earlier this evening but are not appearing in my GRG logbook. This is proving most frustrating - any advice? .

Note that even if there are not two connections removing the connection then going back to GRG and reconnecting fixed it for me. The settings menu is easier to find in Garmin - Modern View. I'd also like to reiterate the auto sych won't start up again until you do a new activity.

Yes, the issue we had has been fixed.  It only affected runs that were uploaded to Garmin Connect between 00:00a.m. on 5th December and 11:50am on 6th December, which will have been resent and should appear in your GRG Log Book unless you reset your connection during this time, in which case only new runs uploaded since you reset the connection will appear.

If runs you upload to Garmin Connect are still not appearing in your GRG Log Book, please first check that you do not have two connections set up between Garmin Connect and GRG, as this has been the main cause of Garmin Sync problems.  To do this sign in to Garmin Connect, go to "Settings", "Account Information" and scroll down to "Applications" to see how many connections there are to GRG.  If there is more than one you will need to delete them all (click "Remove Permission" to do this) before doing anything further.  Then you will need go to the Garmin Connect Sync page on GRG and follow the instructions to reset the connection.  This will delete the current connection to Garmin Connect from GRG and set up a new one.  Once this is done you will then need to upload a new run to Garmin Connect before any runs start appearing in your GRG Log Book.  Please don't rush into resetting your connevtion again if runs don't immediately appear as this will cause the connection to become cross-wired.

Sorry for the long explanation but I thought it would be helpful to explain how it works.

This has also been happening to me in the last few days and has again happened with this morning's sync. Has it been fixed?

Thanks

Thank you for fixing - never feels like it counts if it's not on my stats!
