Antony - what a nightmare. Had a similar thing happen last year at a 10k - amazing that they can get it wrong. Try not to let it annoy you - if you had your pacing right you know you can do it next time. |

Roland, well done on the PBs so far. that marathon will come. I have this week started the Hal Higdon intermediate half plan, so fingers crossed. I have a park run planned for 3 weeks time, followed by the Derby 10k 3 weeks after, Burton 10mile 4 weeks after that. then hopefully the Ramathon half beginning of June. |

Under 45 min for the 10K, haven't ran a 10 mile before so not thought about that one, and under 1h44m for the half |

A little bit off-topic here, but another type of goal completed for me. Did my Leader in Running Fitness course yesterday. At my club we do a 'Run for fun' course for beginners, basically supported groups, volunteers taking them out on a system similar to C25K. Last Saturday was the end of the last group, and I'm delighted to say that they ALL managed to complete the Conwy parkrun, with times varying from 26 min up to 40 min. Utterly proud of them all, especially the lady who asked me to pace her on the day, as she really wanted sub-30 minutes. She made it in 29:56 ! Anyway, as of today those that want to are 'invited' to join the club properly, and we will be starting the continuation programme for them. The next goal being for them to be able to run for 1 hr / 10k, and the target for that being 12 weeks away. |
