Hi John, run uploaded absolutely fine again today.  I just get a box come saying 'allow good run guide to access garmin connect' so long as press 'yes' works fine! (with the watch plugged in, not wirelessly though).  Splits were very different though to that on garmin changing my min/mile pace for my intervals from between 6:30-6:40 min/mille pace, to between 7:10-7:25 pace!

No problem, will do John.  The run I uploaded yesterday, was from yesterday morning, but I'll try it again after I run tomorrow and see if that also works.

Do you know if incorportation of running dynamics data is likely to be included at some point?

Thanks,

Vicky

Just an interesting note to add to my last post.  Just plugged my watch into charge it and thought I'd see if randomnly it made any difference, and although at first it was saying no device found, I clicked on the link where is says 'powered by garmin communicator' (seeing as I couldn't find this before) and it said it needed updating, did that, and then it found my watch adn allowed it to upload even though I have garmin express installed as well... I don't why that is?! Didn't upload the other stats info though so I'm guessing maybe the site doesn't support that information?

Cheers,

Vicky

Hi John,

thanks for your reply.  I'm still struggling a little.  I've followed your instructions to now find the hidden files (I'm using a mac) but under garmin it only seems to have garmin webuploader and garmin express, not garmin connect.  Obviously I do go onto that webesite and I do have it on my phone but it doesn't seem to be installed on my actual laptop... and I can't see an option on the site to do this, the garmin connect site that is.  The other info was in terms of that the watch now tells me things like my cadence and vertical oscillation etc. as well as HR.  Obv the HR shows but not the other stuff.

Thanks,

Vicky

Thanks.  I dd manage to upload it using option c, as option b didn't seem to work, I couldn't find any files on my computer anywhere.  Not the easiest though, as it wasn't really very obvious which tcx file I wanted to choose.. Other thing I noticed was that once I had found the file to upload it didn't find the route from my saved routes so I had to search for it, also a lot of the additional data that's recorded doesn't show up.  Is this because it's not supported by the site, or when you upload in this way does it not transfer all the data across?

thanks

Hi,

I've just changed my watch to a garmin 620.  It has wireless upoad - will this work to this site or just to garmins site? I've just tried uploading a run adn it's saying no device found?

Thanks,

Vicky

I use a mac John. I've reinstalled the Communicator several times but when I look in Chrome's plugins it isn't there. Works fine on Safari though.

Tried that John but still no joy. Garmin Communicator is not being saved in Chrome. As I said, no problem with Safari.

Hi John. I've been using Chrome but just tried Safari and there was no problem. The plugin is allowed in my Chrome settings but it still says it's not installed...no matter how many times I install it! The Garmin Communicator download page also says the plugin isn't installed and prompts me to download it even though I've just done it. I'm finding Chrome gets more twitchy everyday. I guess I'll stick to Safari for a while.

The old turn it off and on again strategy! Surely you work in I.T. Anthony :-) Yep, I did try that but no change. I suspect the problem will disappear as mysteriously as it appeared.
