Re new Garmin sync, my last runs have synced fine from Garmin, but, none of the routes have been matched and Ive just noticed that the route name it has been given when stored in my current routes, has a time an hour earlier than the Garmin. All the non matched routes have a title with the time an hour earlier than ran. Other than that its working grand :-)

Ive just made the route public, didnt mean to, Route 2015-05-10 09:59

The race started at 11am, and it was the Monikie 10k, I cant figure how to edit it or delete it, sorry.

This has saves masses of time - THANK YOU!

One thing that I used to be able to do under the 'old' system was choose between moving time and total elapsed time. Is there a way to do this under the new system? [I can of course adjust manually from the Garmin data but it would be great if there was an automatic option...]

Thanks, Julia

That's great  - it is good isn't it!  To add your shoes you need to click on the edit link on the right hand side and then select them as you used to.  Using the edit link you can change all sorts of things including the route name, type of activity etc.

Hi John,

Recently installed the new Garmin synch feature. When I logged into the site last night to log my run I was shocked to find it was already logged! I think my watch had synched with my ipad without me knowing so that was a very nice surprise.

It had even found the right route and included my splits... One problem though it didn't log the running shoes I was wearing :-)

Great upgrade to the site!

just got on to a PC to look at my automatic uploads, one run and one walk. whilst they both uploaded fine the walk came in as a run. obviously i can (and have) changed this now. Not sure if there is a tweak needed or if it is something that cant be helped.

i have the Vivoactive and it logs all my steps and i can record walks(obviously) separately to my runs, it will also record my swims and bike rides as and when i get round to them so i dont know if they will also come through as runs or not yet.

Just done my first upload and it worked perfectly. Thank you for incorporating this.  I imagine it has been a lot of hard work

I have just had to replace my old PC and am experiencing Garmin upload problems similar to others. I've spent hours going round in circles as well as speaking to Garmin.. I have a Forerunner 405CX and was forced to download Garmin Express on the new computer. I have also downloaded the latest Garmin Communicator.

So the automatic upload on GRG no longer works and I have resorted to exporting each run manually to my computer and then selecting/importing to GRG on the upload/import page, which it does but doesnt capture details as previously (eg. excluding stops or elevation data) so it doesnt make the flat equivalent adjustment. Also I notice that when I do the import a map of the run shows, but when I view the entry from my logbook it says the mapped route isnt available.

I can find where Garmin is storing the TCX files on my computer and the same thing happens whether I export it manually from Garmin Connect to my computer or I import it directly from where Garmin puts it. It seems either that not all the data is there or it's not being read properly.

Help!

Thanks, Julia
