Well done Geoffrey, the courage you have shown to get out is exactly a big positive, I am sure that while you are out walking, any runner who may pass you will giv a friendly nod of acknowledgement, as this is exactly what is great about the running community. This should serve as a great way to encourage you to continue the hard work that you are going through. I would love to hear from you at a later date when you are taking part in an organised event mate.

Well done Geoffrey in all u have achieved this far.     Join a running group if u have one local.    Run england have some great groups across the country.   They cater for all abilities, all shapes & sizes without prejudice.   They can give u great encouragement & support as well as expertise.   They have helped me & several other people in my area into running, some of which are now running regular 10ks & half marathons & achieving great results.

Yes, I completely agree with that.  Well done, the hardest part is usually getting the motivation together at the start and you've done that.  Yes, make sure you log it and then you can look back with pride as you improve (and you will do!)  You might also want to use the weight tracker.  Louise
