Hi all

Are you running the London or another marathon during April/May? If you are and would like a mention in our next newsletter (due out early April) then either post it here or drop me an email.

Hi Kate

Yes - of course - that was a nice run in Overton. Its good to hear you are still enjoying your running - you must be to tackle another marathon a year later! Good luck with the Brighton and I hope you break the 4 hours barrier.  I'm thinking of doing another marathon, but not until the autumn - perhaps Loch Ness but not sure yet.

Hi Kate,

I'm also running at Brigton. Say hello if you see me before or maybe as we go different directions on all the switchbacks on the course! Look out for a long haired old rocker guy in a royal blue 'Ranelagh' top who might have been in one of those great old Metal Groups in the 70's/80's. Go on Rick Parfitt is one of the oft shouted comments or a classic from a spectator, to a runner just behind me, one southern cross country ' Don't let that long haired old bloke beat you!' Charming.

Rock on!

You obviously know the course better than me. I did the first half with a bunch of Brighton AC runners last weekend and was suprised at the wind in our face from 10 miles onwards going West. Lets hope for a calm day... although the guys seemed to think it was always windy! Not exactly a pb course.

Cheers, and still looking forward to it!

Hi Kate,

I've just seen you did 3:50 which seems pretty good to me! I unfortunately didn't feel well and dropped out at 15 miles....

Roll on the next one!

Hi Kate

Really pleased to hear you broke your barrier and by quite a good margin!   I've now entered the Loch Ness Marathon which is in October and really want to crack 3 hours 50 if possible before I get too much older!  I've done 2 marathons before and both times just scraped under 4 hours and within a minute of each other - I wish I could get a 33 minute improvement but I don't think thats likely.
