Since I have upgraded my iPad to iOS 7 it crashes when mapping a new route, I know iOS 7 is very new but is any one else experiencing this problem? The site seems to be fine doing everything else.

It looks like iOS7 has been released with a lot of bugs and issues - there are numerous reports on the internet of people experiencing problems with apps and websites crashing after upgrading to iOS7. It appears to be affecting a lot of Google maps applications like our route measurer.  Apple will release bug fixes in due course but in the meantime it would be worth downloading a different browser like Chrome as the issue is probably a bug in Safari.

If anyone has any further updates or workarounds it would be great if you could post back here.

Thanks, I will keep an eye out for upgrades, or just stick to routes already logged!! (The good old trusty laptop isn't letting me down)

I seem to have problems with IOS7 and not being able to press the reset button on the GPS stopwatch app, it seems to do everything else ok but it won't reset the timer and distance back to zero so I have to delete and reinstall the whole thing every time!

Unfortuantley I don't think some of the issues can be resolved until Apple issues a new release to fix the bugs in iOS7.  There is little that we can do at our end but we'll keep an eye out for any advice.

I thought I'd add my IOS7 woes here too. I get a crash when I tried to edit a saved route. I haven't tried to map a new route yet, but by the sound of it this would probably be a waste of time. As for the rest of IOS7 I cannot look at mail saved in folders and I think some of the primary colours make it look cheap. That of course is not an issue. For here.

The recent update to iOS, 7.0.2 hasn't cured the mapping problem, the site still crashes when using this function. I have reported the fault to Apple, but understand a security issue was more important than my mapping one, just to keep you all updated.

Thanks for the update Martin.  I understand there was a serious big which allowed people to bypass the passcode and get into your phone, so I guess that was one of the priority fixes Apple has put in.  Fingers crossed they'll move on to fixing some of the crash issues soon.

Recent iOS update still hasn't fixed the mapping issue, I take it the people at Apple don't run........

Apple engineers have asked for crash reports so we've sent this off.  This does at least mean they are looking into the issue.  Fingers they'll sort it out soon.
